Purpose: To help prepare to minister in times of disasters

DISASTER RELIEF CHAPLAINCY ENDORSEMENT


WHAT IS IT?
Southern Baptists Chaplains (salaried or volunteer) may seek endorsement as Disaster Relief Chaplains through the North American Mission Board (NAMB).WHY? This endorsement reflects that the individual has completed the required training and has met the criteria to be recognized by the Southern Baptist Convention to serve as a Disaster Relief Chaplain.

HOW TO OBTAIN ENDORSEMENT?

Complete the following:

1. Three levels of training: Disaster Relief Chaplaincy Training
Disaster Relief Training - “Involving Southern Baptists in Disaster Relief”
Course in CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) and/or Course in NOVA (National Organization for Victim Assistance)2. NAMB application for approval
